Prof. Girish S Chavan is currently working as HOD of the Compliance department- Directorate of Technical Education and SavitriBai Phule Pune University and AICTE-Ministry of HRD. He is a skilled Academician with demonstrated history of working in the Education Management Industry. He has 13+ yrs of rich experience in Industry as well as Academics.

He holds Master Degree in Commerce & Management. Currently pursuing PhD in Marketing Management from Pune University, he has presented papers in National level Conferences, he has attended many Seminars and Workshops. He is National Level Player of Lawn Tennis, He represented Dr. B A M U University Aurangabad for so many year.

A national level Tennis player as well as a university level volleyball player, Prof. Chavan believes that sports should be practiced by all individuals of all age groups and that playing a sport helps ensure the cultivation of culture within a person. He is always willing to push the boundary of personal development of the students and helping them achieve individual excellence through the medium of sports.
